Maho Beach, Saint Martin
Maho Beach is a beach on the Dutch side of the Caribbean island of Saint
Martin, in the country of Sint Maarten. It is famous for the Princess Juliana
International Airport adjacent to the beach. Arriving aircraft must touch down
as close as possible to the beginning of Runway 10 due to the short runway
length of 2,180 metres (7,150 ft), resulting in aircraft on their final
approach flying over the beach at minimal altitude.

geyser field sites are located near active volcanic areas, and the geyser
effect is due to the proximity of magma.

Sonoran Desert
The Sonoran Desert is
a North American desert which covers large parts of the Southwestern
United States in Arizona, California, Northwest
Mexico in Sonora, Baja
California, and Baja
California Sur. It
consists of an area of 311,000 square kilometers. The western portion of the United
States–Mexico border passes through the Sonoran Desert. It
is one of the largest and hottest deserts in North
America. The desert contains a variety of unique and endemic
plants and animals.
